Description of Ventana:

Our Favorite Villa in the US Virgin Islands.......St.Thomas Jewel! This unique and sumptuous luxury mansion in a prestigious neighborhood sits on over 2 acres on a scenic hilltop, overlooking spectacular views of Charlotte Amalie's harbor and tropical sunsets. An avenue of palms leads from the entrance through lush tropical gardens to the brick courtyard, carport, and into the spacious and very elegant Great Room. This large living area, furnished with plush, comfortable seating and accented with warm mahogany pieces, is the heart of Ventana. Just off the Great Room is the breezy covered dining gallery and verandah set with a hammock and potted plants. The adjoining gourmet kitchen features a Viking gas range and a Sub Zero fridge, and also has a private area for wait staff, which doubles as an office area with a computer for email, a fax and a printer. A few steps from the Great Room take you to Ventana's upper level and to 2 bedroom/bath suites, both with air-conditioning, cable TV, phone, and marble baths. A few steps down from the Great Room lead to the large air-conditioned master suite complete with cable TV, phone a generous marble bath with mirrored French doors, and its own private covered patio just outside. A few more steps from the master bath leads down to the adjoining exercise room. Walkways threaded through the gardens and lawn lead to the air-conditioned twin-bedroom suite, situated in a charming small poolside cabana separate from the main house - and to the brick patios, planters, and dramatic horizon pool and built-in jacuzzi, from which you can watch the cruise ships come and go by day, and enjoy the magic of the twinkling lights of our harbor and town by night. Ventana celebrates Caribbean style with it's captivating views, superb gardens, restful colors, and original artwork; villa aficionados will appreciate the drama of this major vacation estate's perfect privacy in a gracious, old-world setting. The rental rates listed above do not include GOVERNMENT HOTEL TAX (8% for villas in the U.S. Virgin Islands including St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix; 7% for villas in the British Virgin Islands including Anegada, Little Thatch Island, Tortola and Virgin Gorda, and 8% for villas on Grenada). A minimum 7-night rental is required during the HIGH SEASON, 5 nights during the LOW SEASON, and 10-14 nights, depending on the villa and island, during the Christmas/New Year's season (December 21 - January 9 and December 19 - January 9 for villas on Virgin Gorda).
